What Is the Boat made of? Is it inflatable?
The boat is made out of Fiberglass or High Density Polyethylene

which is a hard plastic compound that floats by itself.

Does the Boat have a motor?
Yes. The boat has a Suzuki outboard motor of 15 horsepower.

How fast does the boat go?
It travels at 5 to 7 miles per hour depending on wind, current and amount of people on board. However this is a casual experience so we take our time on the water to make it as enjoyable as possible.

What about boat safety?
They all have the required safety equipment including life vests, an anchor and a paddle. They are driven by a USCG qualified captain.

Can I bring my own food and beverages.
Yes, you are welcome to bring additional items to include alcohol.

Where do we do the picnic?
That's your choice, some guests choose to picnic on the boat itself and some choose to spread the picnic blanket out on a beach.

How many people can the boat hold?
Our boats seat 10 people however we are only taking 6 passengers per boat.

How do I reserve the boat for a specific day and time?
On the 'Round Town Picnic Boat page click on the "book now" button and it will show you available days and time slots.

Can I reserve today for tomorrow's outing?
It depends on capacity and current reservations. Obviously calendar holidays fill up quickly as do weekends. So the earlier you make your reservations, the better it is for you and your party to get the date and time you want. Check our online reservations calendar for availability. If you don't see anything for the date you want, chances are, we're booked. You may try our reservations line to see if there are any last minute cancellations.

Do I have to purchase food and beverages?
No. You may rent the whole boat with no food and beverage to "test" the boating experience before you purchase our food and beverage packages for you and your group.

What if we're part of a large group? Can we use more than one boat?
You can reserve several boats to travel to the same destination.

What if I have a coupon that is expiring soon?
Call our reservation line. We may be able to find a seat for you or even extend your expiration date to the next available opening. Do not wait until the last minute to make your reservation. Seating is very limited and we don't want you to be disappointed.

Are there bathrooms on the boat?
No. We encourage you to take care of business before boarding.

I am pregnant. Can I still ride?
Many women who are pregnant can ride our boats during all stages of their pregnancy. However, every pregnancy is different so we encourage you to consult your physician.

Can Seniors take part in the trip?
Participants our boat excursions may be exposed to sun, rain and other outdoor elements. Please consider these features in determining suitability for all passengers. Only guests in good health should participate. For your safety please consult your physician if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, motion sickness, heart, neck or back problems, recent surgery or any other medical condition that might be aggravated by this boat ride. All guests, including those with disabilities or use a wheelchair must be able to transfer into and out of the boat by themselves or with the assistance of a member of their party.

Will I get wet?
Our boats are subject to waves as well as to others' boat maneuvers that can create waves and spray.  All passengers should expect to get at least some spray. The amount of water depends on weather and water conditions. No seat is guaranteed to be permanently dry. Prepare accordingly and you will enjoy the experience.

I have a bad back. Can I still ride?
For medical advice, we recommend you consult your physician before joining us. Your safety is our top priority so please make us aware of any conditions that might impact your experience.

Are there any age restrictions for children?
No, there are no age restrictions and we provide lifejackets that fit children. Car seats and carriers are not permitted on the boats. We strongly suggest a front pack or wearable carrier and all infants must be held by an adult. Keep in mind this can be a bit overwhelming for some children and refunds will not be given if we have to return to the dock.
