CPR and First Aid Classes
Adventure Awaits has partnered with a local instructor to make it convenient for others to have access to a variety of life saving classes. Some current options are listed below. Both New or Renewal options available. Please let us know if you have a need for a class not listed or have a large group wanting to participate. (There are large group discounts).
Meet the Instructor:
Heather Robbins
A veteran of the USCG, Heather has been well versed in conducting safety and training courses. Currently she still holds training for multiple agencies to include the USCG, police departments, hospitals, and schools. Having served overseas, she also was an asset in the Tactical Combat Training to include Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC). Heather has performed life saving operations for individuals in her professional Coast Guard career as well as off duty. She takes great pride in this course and hopes that by teaching others it will help save more lives.
Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, AED
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED trains anyone with little or no medical training to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
Designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs first aid and/or CPR training.
Basic Life Support
The AHA’s Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR AED and First Aid course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, delivery appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.
Designed for Heath care professionals and other personnel who need to now how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
Bloodborne Pathogens
The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.
Water Safety
Help prepare older youth and adults in your community to be safer in, on and around the water by teaching our water safety presentations. This lifesaving information is designed to be delivered in 30-minute sessions in any setting, such as service organizations for older youth or adults, community meetings or your homeowners association. Session topics include General Water Safety, Home Pool Safety, Sun Safety and Rip Current Safety.
